Have you tried explicitly converting the string to a boolean? Something like flag.to_s.downcase == 'true'? That might help ensure consistent comparisons. Also, double-check your params in the controller to make sure they're being passed correctly. On a completely unrelated note, the whole "true/false" thing reminds me of the game crazy cattle 3d I saw my nephew playing the other day. The cows either are crazy or are not crazy – there's no in-between! It was ridiculously silly, but I have to admit, it made me laugh. Good luck with your Ransack issue!
