The most common programming languages in Asia compared to the world?

Introduction

AI and bigdata has been the trend in technology industry in the past few year. With the advancement and rapid changing nature of the industry, how will the recent trend affect programming languages that are currently in used?. Choosing Asia as the main subject, this workbook will aim to answer the question of what are the most in use languages at the moment, and what languages that developers are currrently aiming to learn.

The work book will get the data based on StackOverflow survey back in 2017.

Three question that the work book aim to answer is:

• What are the most in-used language in Asia?
• Languages that devs are looking forward to master?
• Is the trend in the world the same with the trend in Asia?

The top 5 language being used in Asia are SQL, Java Script, PHP, Java and Python. These are all very common programming languages

Part 2: Top 5 languages that devs wanted to learn

Top 5 most wanted langauges also match with the top 5 in-use langugaes. From the plot, it can be seen that. Developer also eager to learn languages that are frequently used in the industry. Figure: Top 5 languages that devs wanted to learn

Part 3 Compare between top 5 in-used languages between Asia and worldwide

Figure: Top 5 in-used languages worldwide From the result gather in through all the graphs. We can derived at the conclusion that 5 languages SQL, JavaScript, Python , PHP and Java are the most common used languages not only in Asia but also worldwide.

Conclusion

We have took a look at the most popular languages based on Stack Over Flow survey and can come to the conclusion that:

Despite have been in the industry for a long time, SQL, JavaScript, Python , PHP and Java still play a very significant roles and are still commonly used. These are also languages that developers wanted to learn most. Wide coverage of these languages are undeniable.
